Guided tour for groups of the Blast Furnace
Ideal for groups who want to visit the blast furnace at Belval with a guide.
The Fonds Belval is offering a number of guided tours, focusing on Luxembourg's industrial history and, more specifically, the workings of the blast furnace, as well as the conversion of brownfield sites and the exceptional architectural development of the Belval site.
Guided tour of the blast furnace. Find out how the only blast furnace in Luxembourg works. At the very heart of its impressive enclosure, the guide will explain the process of making cast iron and steel. During the visit, you will climb to a height of 40 metres (the "gueulard") from where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Cité des Sciences, the new Belval district and its impressive contemporary architectural creations.
The guided tours are designed to appeal to a wide audience. Depending on the group's interests, certain themes such as the steel industry, architecture and town planning can be explored in greater depth. Any special requirements must be specified at the time of booking. They are subject to guide availability.
