Bullet For My Valentine ‘s The Poison and Trivium ‘s Ascendancy are two albums whose influence can still be felt today – in the DNA of modern metal. They were both lightning bolts. The two bands grew up independently of each other, in different countries and away from any movement or scene, but they both shared a common love of melodic heavy metal; and they both experienced similar meteoric rises from the moment they came out.”
Trivium and BFMV were in such a whirlwind when their respective albums came out that they never really had a chance to play together or celebrate during the maelstrom of touring, recording and traveling the world.
But that’s what this anniversary tour is. It’s a celebration by the bands for the fans of an important era, and more importantly, it’s an invitation for fans to come and spend an epic night with us, singing along, going wild and celebrating the awesome power of music.
Released in 2005, the impact of these two albums on the evolution of modern metal is undeniable.
SPECIAL GUEST : ORBIT CULTURE
ORBIT CULTURE is a melodic death metal/groove metal band from Eksjö, Sweden. The idea of the band grew strong within singer & rhythm guitarist Niklas and lead guitarist Maximilian after messing around with some unpolished demos at home. At that time, Maximilian was currently playing with another local band called Abstract Noise, together with ORBIT CULTURE’s fellow drummer Markus Bladh. Maximilian recruited Markus to join his new band, followed by the arrival of Christoffer Olsson on bass guitar. The band formed in March 2013. Shortly after ORBIT CULTURE’s inception, the band started to work on their debut EP. The production ended on August 17th, 2013 and Orbit Culture’s very first piece of music was released shortly after. All the songs were recorded in what used to be an old power plant in the bands hometown. The EP was mixed and mastered by Niklas himself. Later that year, the band re-released their debut EP.
